To nie jedyny podmiot artystyczny, który publikuje zaginione, zagubione lub schowane do szuflady muzyczne produkcje. Ale ten odcinek nie będzie o tym. Nie będzie też o słynnym zespole The Flaming Lips, choć od niego zaczniemy.
Na początku działalności The Flaming Lips członkiem zespołu był Jonathan Donahue. Zagrał on nawet na dwóch albumach grupy, zanim nie doszedł do wniosku, że to nie dla niego i że czas założyć własny zespół. Jak pomyślał, tak zrobił. W 1989 roku powstał zespół Mercury Rev.
