9 marca 1987 roku grupa U2 wydała piąty studyjny album "The Joshua Tree". Był pierwszym na rynku brytyjskim, który osiągnął sprzedaż ponad miliona płyt CD. Mój pierwszy egzemplarz kupiłem jesienią 1987 roku w Nowym Jorku. A potem wymieniłem się z kolegą na CD Anity Baker "Rapture"... Jubilat Chris Thompson przypomni "Blinded By the Light" z grupą Manfreda Manna.
